Randy has 32 years of professional experience; 22 years of which include industries comprised of pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and combination drug products.  He also possesses extensive experience in commercial scale-up for high volume production (new product introduction or expansion of existing product) as well as a wide variety of improvement initiatives (engineering, equipment, process optimization, capacity utilization, quality, efficiency, planning, cost reductions, and more), both in leadership positions and hands-on execution roles.  Randy worked at Abbott for 18 years, both in Diagnostics and Pharmaceuticals.  His last position at Abbott where he managed an Engineering department for Pharmaceutical Packaging operations supporting the filling/packaging of $6 billion in drugs annually. Additional life science experience included Catalent Parma Solutions as a consulting role where he led project activities for a new packaging line from concept proposal/cost justification to complete implementation execution.

He also worked at AbbVie in a consulting role where he completed the global capacity analysis, coordinated design for manufacturability across multiple sites/disciplines, and lead / executed project activities for new custom filling equipment for a combination drug product.  Randy has also engaged in additional consulting roles in various areas of the life science industry including a professional Architectural and Engineering company with a life science focus. Prior to starting in the life science industry, he also spent 10 years working as an engineer/project leader in other diverse industries sectors including automotive, electric gear motors, electrical components, and numerous custom automation systems for manufacturing.  Randy holds a Bachler of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering and an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Design. In his free time, Randy is actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America, along with his son, where he volunteers his time to the troop as a youth adviser, fundraising initiatives, and an active committee member.
